FLORENCE – Pietra in Movimento

26_PNA_Pietra In Movimento

From material to design: contemporary applications of natural stone in architecture.

The first roadshow dedicated to the culture of natural stone.
The project was conceived with the aim of creating opportunities for practical technical and design dialogue between companies, architects and industry professionals, featuring specialist presentations and international case studies, to explore and deepen understanding of the role of stone in contemporary design.
Who is it for?
The conference, organised in collaboration with the Order and Foundation of Architects of Florence, is aimed in particular at architects, designers and professionals interested in exploring the technical, aesthetic and sustainable potential of natural stone materials.

The Venue

Florence – Il Fuligno, Sala Blu
Montedomini Service and Training Centre
Via Faenza 48

Florence: a symbolic and design-oriented choice.
The choice of this city as the first stop on the “Pietra in Movimento” tour takes on particular significance within the initiative promoted by PNA – Pietra Naturale Autentica. A city where the relationship between architecture, materials and construction has for centuries been a defining feature, Florence provides the ideal setting for a contemporary discussion on the role of natural stone in design. Here, the culture of materials is not confined to historical and monumental memory, but continues to engage with the language of contemporary architecture

More specifically, Il Fuligno – Montedomini Service and Training Centre, situated in the heart of the city, is a space dedicated to training and the exchange of expertise, perfectly in keeping with the conference’s theme: an opportunity for technical updates and professional discussion aimed at architects and designers.
