An EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is an official, certified document that clearly and transparently describes the environmental impact of a product throughout its entire life cycle: from the extraction of raw materials to processing, from transport to use and end of life.

It is based on data verified according to international standards (ISO 14025 and EN 15804) and is validated by independent third parties.

In 2025, PNA produced the first EPD for the natural stone sector, a unique achievement because it does not concern a single product or company, but the entire sector. It is an objective tool that measures and certifies that the entire natural stone supply chain has a very low environmental impact, particularly in terms of CO₂ emissions from the quarry to the end of the product’s life.

The study, which will be published shortly, is being previewed at Marmo+Mac 2025.
