The industry’s first life cycle environmental analysis, with the objective of quantifying the environmental impacts of 1 m2 of slab having a thickness of 2 cm. For this purpose, the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology was used, based on the ISO14040-44 standard and according to European Commission guidelines.

The LCA study refers to the entire stone supply chain, from the process of quarrying the natural stone to the sawing of the blocks and subsequent surface finishing of the 2-cm-thick slabs – including energy, materials consumed and waste produced during all stages.
