The second and final day of “Stone is…”, the first International Forum dedicated to authentic natural stone, came to a conclusion today in Venice.
The morning began with Walter Mariotti, who continued his reflection on matter and imagery, followed by Claudia Chiappino, who focused on design language and the environmental impact of the stone industry. Peter Harrison explored the role of stone in sustainable design, while Giovanni Santamaria offered a glimpse into urban landscapes in transformation.
The Forum concluded with the second session of “Mapping Stone is”, curated by Raffaella Laezza, who summarised two days packed with ideas, visions and perspectives.
‘Stone is…’ represented a significant milestone for PNA: not only a moment of international exchange, but also concrete confirmation of the strength of a network that, since 2018, has brought together over 40 organisations with the common goal of promoting and defending the competitiveness of authentic natural stone, enhancing its tradition, excellence and versatility.
The Forum is just the beginning of a new narrative on natural stone: a story that looks to the future, intertwining culture, design and sustainability.
