Scientific Director of PNA International Forum

Raffaella Laezza, Italian architect and PhD in Architectural Composition at Iuav University of Venice, where she studied with Peter Eisenman and assisted Franco Purini. Since 2011, she has been the Scientific Director and lecturer of Eco Generative Architecture for the Master’s degree Emergency Temporary Circular Architecture.

She has taught at various prestigious universities, including the University of Architecture in Parma, Padua, Trieste, and the Hanyang Postgraduate School of the University of Seoul, South Korea.

She is a composer of architecture that relates to nature; she is an independent and radical theorist and writer, particularly known for her innovative method of Eco Generative Architecture. This approach, which she has developed and theorized in her writings, aims to integrate architectural composition with circular, carbon-neutral architecture. She extracts building genetic codes from the micro-visions of nature, viewed under a digital microscope, for the design of sustainable and ephemeral architectures and multireligious, sacred spaces, offering a social response to contemporary cities.

From 2019-2022, “Cobo Pavilion” at Bauma Munich and Hannover. Recently, she completed: “Futura Expo 2022_Circular Pavilion” and “Futura Expo 2023_Vegetal Pavilion” at Brìxia Forum in Brescia. The pavilion is the first case of a 15,000 sq. meter temporary architecture certified carbon-neutral: 70 Tons of CO2 compensated. She created the installation “Futura 2023 Preview” at Palazzo Piacentini in Rome, Headquarters of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Sept-Oct 2023.

Her professional practice is based between Milan, Venice, and Trieste.
