Since 1897, from the founder Giuseppe Marini to the current owners Giulio and Giancarlo, for four generations, Marini family have extracted and processed natural stones. From the underground Gré quarry, located on the western shore of Lake Iseo, Marini Marmi extract two exclusive natural stones. Ceppo di Gré is a cemented dolomitic breccia, porous and with gray tones, mainly used in interior and exterior projects. Nuvolato di Gré is a veined dolomitic breccia, it is gray in colour ranging from light to dark tones, employed in interior projects. In the ’50s Marini Marmi started exporting in Europe. Nowadays Marini are partners in prestigious projects in the whole World, working together with some of the most important architecture firms, by supplying processed stones, worked with experienced craftmanship and with state-of-the-art technologies and machineries. Marini Marmi have received important international awards for projects realized with their natural stones, such as 1st prize at “Marble Architectural Awards 1994” in Carrara, “World Building of the Year 2008” at “World Architecture Festival” (WAF) for the Universita Luigi Bocconi in Milan, a project by Grafton Architects, and other prizes won by architects who employed Ceppo di Gré in their projects. From underground cultivation of own quarry, to the reuse of waste, with the production of Aggloceppo® Marini Marmi manage to reduce waste and create circular economy and environmental sustainability. Marini is also partner in the LIFE Programme “Zero Stone Waste”.
