Married, two daughters, he lives in Parma, where he was born on October 29, 1962.
He trained at the Faculty of Engineering in Bologna, at the school of Piero Pozzati. In Bologna he began his professional activity, dealing for some years exclusively with structural calculations.
Since 1993 he has collaborated with Guido Canali, devoting himself to the most technical aspects of the realization of the works conceived within Canaliassociati, of which he has been Technical Director since 1998: structures, fire safety engineering, construction management. In an attempt, coveted and shared by all the team's designers, to seek efficient technical solutions, but at the service of the project's objectives, which do not override its outcomes. Similarly, the management of the complex network of relationships and formal and legal fulfillments that bind together Client, Executors and Designers has always been a primary front of commitment.
From 1998 to 2004 he was Director of Works for the Restoration and Reuse of the great monumental complex of Santa Maria della Scala, in Siena. During that period he directed the restoration works, designed and directed the consolidation works and held the relations between Client (Municipality of Siena) Designer (Canaliassociati srl) and Company (several). Over the 6-year duration of the construction site, about half of the 35,000.00 square meters of the complex is recovered, for a total expenditure of about 40 million euros.
Since December 2014, he has been the Director of the Duomo di Milano Construction Sites for the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo, as well as Director of the Candoglia Quarry, from which the precious marble from which the great Cathedral is made has been extracted since 1387. In this role, he directs the three construction sites that have always been active (Cantiere Duomo, Cantiere Marmisti and Cava di Candoglia), coordinating the approximately 100 highly specialized workers of the Veneranda Fabbrica and all the external firms, and scheduling the work of continuous restoration of the monument in order to preserve and perfectly conserve it.
In July 2017, he was elected President of the Prefectural Commission for the Statics of the Duomo of Milan.
From October 2018 to October 2019 he was Project Manager for the completion of the redevelopment of the great Uffizi Museum (Nuovi Uffizi).
Since June 2023, he has been an advisor to the Fabbriceria del Duomo di Parma.
Among the most significant interventions followed for Canaliassociati are the restoration of the premises of the Piagnaro Castle, in Pontremoli, for the setting up of the new Museum of the Stele Statues; the restoration of the premises of the Royal Palace of Milan destined to host in Nuovo Museo del Duomo and the project for the setting up of the Museum itself; the rehabilitation of Santa Maria della Scala, in Siena; the redevelopment of the former Ottaviani Barracks in Brescia and of the Ex Manifattura Tabacchi compartment, in Milan; the U3B compartment of the Portello area, in Milan; the Valvigna, Lamos and Artisan Shoes factories, in Montevarchi and Montegranaro, for the Prada Group.
