PNA International Forum

A unique event

In 2025, PNA – Authentic Natural Stone Business Network – hosted the first International Forum on Natural Stone, a moment of international dialogue and exchange on the use of natural stone.

When and where did it take place?

The Forum took place on June 12th and 13th at Iuav University of Venice, simultaneously with the 2025 Architecture Biennale.

Founded in 1926 as the Higher School of Architecture of Venice, Iuav University of Venice is now a university that serves as a point of reference for both Italian and international architectural and urban culture, thanks to its strong experimental vocation. It was one of the first Italian universities to introduce design laboratories and to open new fields of research and studies on sustainability.

The Forum took place at Aula Magna Tolentini, located in the Tolentini building complex, Santa Croce 191 – Venice, the historical seat of Iuav University of Venice, known for its historic portal designed by Carlo Scarpa. It was just an 8-minute walk from the railway station.

The Forum enjoyed the collaboration of the Ordine Architetti Pianificatori Paesaggisti di Venezia, InArch (National Institute of Architecture) Triveneto, and the media partnership of Domus.

Who is it aimed at?

The Forum brought together the main industry players in Venice: architects, design studios, engineers, designers, relevant institutional bodies, and economic entities involved, including companies, artisans, and professionals. The event also saw the participation of the academic world, including teachers and students, cultural institutions, and representatives from the media. It was a unique opportunity for architecture and design enthusiasts who wanted to discover the potential of this extraordinary material.

The Forum, co-organized with the Ordine Architetti Pianificatori Paesaggisti e Conservatori della Provincia di Venezia, granted educational credits to participating architects who applied for them.
