At the Cappella Sansevero in\u00a0Naples, a special\u00a0initiative\u00a0has\u00a0transformed\u00a0the\u00a0Veiled\u00a0Christ, the\u00a0marble\u00a0masterpiece\u00a0by Giuseppe Sanmartino,\u00a0into\u00a0a\u00a0shared\u00a0experience\u00a0for\u00a0all. The project,\u00a0titled\u00a0<\/span>\"La Meraviglia a portata di mano\"<\/span><\/i>,\u00a0offered\u00a0blind and\u00a0visually\u00a0impaired\u00a0individuals\u00a0the\u00a0opportunity\u00a0to touch the\u00a0famous\u00a0monument,\u00a0allowing\u00a0them\u00a0to\u00a0explore\u00a0its\u00a0marble\u00a0textures\u00a0through\u00a0touch for an intimate\u00a0encounter\u00a0with the\u00a0material\u00a0that\u00a0is\u00a0usually\u00a0kept\u00a0distant.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Veiled\u00a0Christ\u00a0is\u00a0made from a single\u00a0block\u00a0of Carrara\u00a0marble,\u00a0known\u00a0for\u00a0its\u00a0extraordinary\u00a0quality\u00a0and\u00a0purity,\u00a0which\u00a0allowed\u00a0Sanmartino to\u00a0carve\u00a0the\u00a0veil\u00a0covering\u00a0the figure of Christ with\u00a0such\u00a0skill\u00a0that\u00a0it\u00a0seems\u00a0like a\u00a0real\u00a0fabric.
