Biography:

Development of technology and the relationship between material, light and art. This is the essence of each project by architect Pasquale Piroso and Studio Loft Canova. Her stylistic signature is the poetics of listening to the place, the ability to immerse oneself in the context and to grasp its deepest nature to give life to authentic projects dedicated to beauty. An attitude that in the daily experience of the construction site expresses its full potential.

Pasquale Piroso graduated in architecture with Prof. Paolo Portoghesi with whom he collaborated on numerous projects of national importance. He then founded his architecture studio in Palazzo Canova. Here he deals with the restoration of the sculptor’s gallery, where today a great contemporary artist, Luigi Ontani, lives and works. Here ambitious projects were born, always centered on the dialogue between art, interior design and lighting design, characterized by unique pieces designed for each environment and by a high-profile lighting studio.

There are many publications in trade magazines, such as AD and Case design and styles, as well as television passages that tell the experiences of Pasquale Piroso and the projects carried out by his Studio.

Among these, in 2017, the lighting and restyling of Casina Valadier stand out, one of the most important and prestigious monumental villas in Rome. On the occasion of its 200 years of history, the building was illuminated thanks to an innovative eco-sustainable project, non-invasive and capable of communicating with the architecture of the villa. The use of the latest generation projectors, specially designed for the intervention, allows to obtain not only a focused light, but also a considerable energy saving. The project also involved the restyling of the rooms and interiors. An intervention respectful of the place and its history, carried out with a single objective: to restore the splendor and elegance of one of the most important monuments of the Eternal City.
